Before studying the Qu’ran, Christians should get to know the Bible well enough FIRST so that they become familiar with the Truth. Once you do this, you can detect errors in other belief systems that don’t line up with what the Bible teaches. If you are engaged in day-to-day interactions with Muslims, it makes sense to be familiar with what they believe. But you should also study Christian writings on the Qu’ran to get a Christian perspective of it.
